WWP Teams Up with James Junes

James Junes

White Whale Pictures has teamed up with long-time friend and well-known Native American talent, James Junes, for an upcoming animation project. Junes, known for his stand-up comedy with the duo, James and Ernie, as well as his role as Han Solo in the Navajo-dubbed version of Star Wars, will be voicing a character in a new WWP project.

The project, commissioned by Navajo Transitional Energy Company, will be the second project for WWP that is done entirely in 3D animation. Junes will play the role of Coyote, which has become a popular character thanks to a series of safety videos WWP has done in 2D animation over the last couple of years. That series won the 2020 National Mine Safety & Training Award.

Junes and our very own Justin Hunt worked together in the early 2000s when Justin produced and directed James & Erniefied, which documented a live performance of the comedy duo on stage in Farmington, New Mexico.
