Nearly three years removed from his last feature film, Addicted to Porn: Chasing the Cardboard Butterfly, WWP Owner and Creative Director Justin Hunt has signed on to co-produce a new film coming out of the Netherlands. Jakhals Productions, based in Amsterdam, is producing the film which will explore the phenomenon of European women engaging in long distance relationships, even marriage, with men on death row in America. Justin will also serve an Advisory Director role, mentoring first-time director, Eva Julia Manneke. Interviews with death row inmates are scheduled to begin in October and continue into November.
This will be Justin’s sixth feature-length film credit.
We’re excited to announce that we’ve helped North American Coal and Navajo Transitional Energy Company win the Good Neighbor Award from the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement. The OSMRE, which is a division of the U.S. Department of Interior, presents the award to coal mining companies that achieve the most exemplary coal mine reclamation in the nation. Part of the application process is a video of the reclaimed areas, which was produced by WWP for the Navajo Coal Mine in the Four Corners area of New Mexico. Congratulations to everyone involved!
Keller Homes, a quality-driven leader in the home building business for over 35 years, has signed with WWP to do a series of videos highlighting several aspects of their award-winning craftsmanship and home building experience. Four videos are on the first slate, with more planned in the not-so-distant future! Shooting is set to begin in late September.
We’re pumped to announce that we will be opening offices in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 1st, 2019. We’ll still maintain a presence in Colorado Springs and take care of our clients’ needs there, and we’ll still be doing work for other companies around the country, but we will now have an office next to Albuquerque Studios and the new Netflix complex.

The American Advertising Federation has named WWP owner Justin Hunt the 2018-2019 Advertising Icon "‘Producer of the Year’ for the Colorado Springs market. The honor was given at an awards ceremony in downtown Colorado Springs on May 20th.
We were taken by pleasant surprise recently with the news that Justin Hunt, owner of White Whale Pictures, has been nominated as an ‘Advertising Icon’ by the American Advertising Federation in Colorado Springs. There are 28 nominees in 10 categories. The awards ceremony will be held on May 20, 2019.
White Whale Pictures is teaming up with the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce and EDC to do a series of videos over the next several months, highlighting some of their feature events. WWP has had a close relationship with the Chamber since joining them in early 2018, and we’re very excited to expand that into the realm of video production!

More than a decade after being released, the Val Kilmer-narrated documentary-written, produced and directed by WWP founder Justin Hunt-remains among the all-time most popular documentaries on Hulu. Released in 2008 by Gravitas Ventures, American Meth has become a cult classic and has stood the test of time. Needless to say, we’re still very proud of the changes this film is making to viewers around the world.
White Whale Pictures, Inc. has agreed to terms with Alaska-based fuel company, Crowley Fuels, to do a series of video productions highlighting safety in the work place. This is the first production WWP has done for Crowley Fuels. Production is set to begin in early February.
Justin And White Whale Pictures were recently hired to hit the road with comedian Jim Breuer where he was opening for heavy metal icons, Metallica, on their Worldwired Tour. Justin has worked with Metallica frontman James Hetfield on a pair of documentaries, and was on stage with Breuer for his opening acts in Charlotte, Philadelphia, Buffalo and Albany.
White Whale Pictures has agreed to terms to produce the site orientation for North American Coal's Navajo Mine, a coal mine located in the Four Corners area near Farmington, New Mexico. The video will be a requirement for any and all employees and visitors before they're allowed to enter the location. Shooting is set to being in mid-July.
World-renowned illustrator, Tony Mauro, is teaming up with White Whale Pictures once again to do the artwork for our new television program, The Observer, which is currently in development. Tony is known for his artwork for such films as Pirates of the Caribbean, The Chronicles of Narnia and Zodiac. His work also graces the covers of the new Stephen King book series, The Dark Tower. This is the fourth time WWP has collaborated with Tony in the last seven years. You can check out some more of his work here.
Oil & Gas acquisition and development company, LOGOS Resources II, LLC, is teaming up with White Whale Pictures on a new informational video production about their services in Northwestern New Mexico. This is the first time WWP and LOGOS have collaborated, and we couldn't be more excited! Production is set to begin in July, 2018.
White Whale Pictures has signed on with The Ahsleah Foundation in Southern New Mexico to write and produce a documentary featurette on the life, and premature passing, of Ashleah Richards, a student-athlete killed by a drunk driver in 2009. Shooting is set to begin in mid-June of 2018.
Antler Creek Golf Course, located east of Colorado Springs, has signed White Whale Pictures to handle its video advertising needs with a new commercial spot! The course is one of the most impressive in Colorado and boasts some of the most challenging, and most rewarding, holes in the state. Shooting is slated to being June 25th.
White Whale Pictures has agreed to terms with Expressive Artists Productions, out of Hollywood, CA, for the development of the episodic television show tentatively entitled, The Observer. Co-created by Justin and Colorado Springs attorney, Terry Rector, the show is an episodic drama set in Colorado Springs and filtered through the lens of journalism.
This Wednesday, May 23rd, Justin has been invited to be the guest speaker at One Million Cups, a weekly event inviting local entrepreneurs to present their businesses to peers in their respective communities. Wildly popular sushi restaurant Sushi Ato has agreed to terms with White Whale Pictures to handle their upcoming video advertising campaign. The restaurant, located in north Colorado Springs, focuses on high quality ingredients and artistic sushi presentation, coupled with traditional Japanese cuisine.
It's an exciting time around White Whale Pictures right now, and part of that excitement is from our recent inclusion into the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is a fantastic organization that really goes all out for its members, and we couldn't be more excited about being a part of that group!
After over 15 years as Time & Tide Productions, Inc., we felt it was time for a healthy change. With five feature-length films under its belt and over 600 video productions, we decided to give the company a new name, new look, and new direction. While we still be working on large projects such as feature films and television shows, we also want to focus on the corporate & industrial side of video production with companies based here in Colorado and around the globe. Can't wait to see what the next 15 years brings!
